Office furniture maker plans $6 million factory for Ulverstone

South Australian-based national commercial furniture and workspace manufacturer UCI is planning to build a $6 million manufacturing facility at Ulverstone.

The company currently has a planning development application before the Central Coast Council for a 1.3 hectare site on vacant land in Fairair Court.

The facility will include a factory and joinery workshop, warehouse, storage, and a 1230 square metre two-storey large showroom and office.

It’s expected to provide around 40 full-time jobs when completed.

Staff amenities will include indoor and outdoor break areas, including a half-court basketball court.

UCI currently has a small office and showroom in Ulverstone on Eastland Drive.

The company’s main factory is in Adelaide, with showrooms in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Hobart and Ulverstone.
