Burnie has the cheapest petrol in Tasmania as fuel prices statewide remain close to their lowest this year.
According to the State Government’s Fuel Check Tas app and website, the current statewide average is currently 180.1 cents a litre for 91 unleaded.
In April, it peaked at more than $2.05 a litre, dropping as low as 179.5 cents last month.
United Camdale in Burnie currently has the state’s cheapest petrol at 167.9 cents a litre – one cent a litre less than Hobart and Launceston’s best.
Devonport’s cheapest fuel is at Shell East Devonport, where it’s 169.9 cents a litre, while the beast in the Central Coast is at United Ulverstone at 175.9.
On the West Coast, Queenstown has the cheapest petrol, surprisingly at the same price as Launceston and Hobart’s best, sitting at 168.9 cents a litre at the local Tas Petroleum outlet.
