A group of 70 intrepid jet ski riders will set out from Hobart next month for a six-day trip via the East Coast to Devonport, and it’s all for a good cause.
The Yamaha Variety Jet Trek is Australia’s biggest personal water craft event and since it started in 1998, it has raised $4.2 million to give more Aussie kids a fair go.
The event is organised by the Variety Club of Queensland, with assistance from the Tasmanian chapter of the club.
During the event, participants will deliver much needed grants to the North West Support School’s Burnie campus, as well as Tasmanian families doing it tough, having a positive and direct impact on 277 Tasmanian children.
The trek will leave Hobart on March 3rd, with overnight stops at Orford, Bicheno, St Helens, and Launceston, before finishing 634 km later, in Devonport on March 8th.
