Another piece of Australia’s largest dairy farm at Woolnorth in the Circular Head district has been sold off.
The Denium Dairy Farm has been sold by Van Premium Dairy to a Victorian farmer who plans to continue operating it as a dairy farm.
The Denium Dairy was built in 1997 and includes 717 hectares of dairy pastures and a 50-capacity rotary dairy.
Former owner Xianfeng Lu, from Chinese-based Moon Lake Investments says it’s been an honour to be the custodian since 2016.
The remainder of the Woolnorth property are still on the market and include 9000 hectares of dairy and grazing land and seven rotary dairies.
Mr Lu purchased Woolnorth for $280 million in 2016, but announced he was selling it in April last year after loosing a major milk supply contract.
